How does traca work all over the world?
If you have traca tags on all your valuable items, if you lose one of them the finder of that item can contact you anywhere. All you need to do is either check your email at an internet cafe, or have a cellphone set to 'roaming' that can receive a TXT message (sms).
How does traca assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
Because traca is an automated, web-based application, there are no office hours, the system is always on. Anytime you need to either register traca tags/labels, report a found item or update your contact details with traca, all you need to do is visit this site.

How do I register?
Once you have received your traca label or tag you'll need to register your unique traca number with us. This is displayed on your label or tag. Registration involves going to our registration page and supplying some details.
Your email address will be used to contact you in the event that a lost item belonging to you is found, but it is also your username for when you want to login to your traca account.
By supplying a password (which must contain a minimum of 8 characters) your account is secure and noboby else will ever get to see what you entered, even the finder of your lost item will never see your details because the system is automated.
If you have a mobile phone, enter your number starting with your ISD e.g. New Zealand is +64 followed by your prefix e.g. Vodafone New Zealand is 21 then your number with no spaces. In the event that a lost item belonging to you is found, we can give you a TXT message (sms) as soon as the finder reports the find, notifying you that an item of your has been found and that you should check your email for a more details.
There is something wrong with my membership registration process.
We apologise for the inconvenience. Please contact us describing your problem, so we can solve it a.s.a.p. and notify you.
Why can't I signup with a landline phone number?
We need to be able to notify you by TXT message (sms) when somebody has reported a found item belonging to you, we use TXT because you are able to receive messages to nearly every country on the world. Unfortunately our automated system can not use a landline.
Privacy and security:
Privacy and security of owners
You should never attach your contact details to your keys and even luggage. It's not even safe to attach your telephone number. Some people may (and can) use your telephone number to find your address details. While most people are honest, your address details may be used for dishonest purposes.
To help you, traca needs your contact details. However, traca will never pass on your contact details to finders or to third parties. Your cellphone number and e-mail address remain hidden to the other parties.
Privacy and security of finders
When you report a find, traca will ask you for your contact details.
The contact details you supply will be included in the email to the owner so they are able to contact you and arrange collection of the found item. Your contact details will also be used by traca to contact you and arrange delivery of your reward from traca for you honesty.
Your contact details will not be used for any other purposes and will not be supplied to any third party.
I have lost something:
What should I do?
You don't need to do anything - traca will contact you as soon as your lost property has been reported.
Why am I not getting a finder report?
Firstly, login to your traca account and check all your contact details are correct and up to date. traca is about maximum encouragement to finders to report a find. We offer a reward to try encourage people to "do the right thing". Unfortunately, not all lost property will be reported to traca.
How will traca let me know my property was found?
traca members will receive a TXT message (sms) instantly, as well as a more detailed email, with instructions about who found your item, where it is and who to contact to arrange collection. traca will use the contact details on your account registration. Check if they are still correct on the login page.
I am trying to contact the finder through traca but I can't reach him/her.
The traca communications platform attempts to verify the correctness of all contact details left on the traca website. However, traca cannot avoid that some contact details are incorrect. We apologise for the inconvenience. It may also help to try again later: The finder may be 'incommunicado' temporarily.
I have received a finder alert. How will I get my belongings back?
The alert will include details supplied by the finder including who they are and how to contact them. It is then your responsibility to use those details to contact the finder and arrange collection of your found item.
traca will reward the finder, however if you want to offer your own reward, that is entirely up to you, but not expected.
